  In the time i attended this high school in the 90s there where 2 suicides on the school ground , one boy hung himself from the E block , another boy stabbed himsself in the front office . This is no joke i was there, let's not let there deaths be In vain . Rip poor boys they had there whole life's ahead of them , don't get me wrong it was not the school to blame , I had many favorite teachers mr Alice my art teacher was wonderful and the school itself is beautiful, all those gum trees and historical buildings , and they are the best at teaching music . I do give them 5 stars .

  We landed in Adelaide 2 years before and my elder son got admission in Marryatville High School for class 8. As my son from different education system- he got worse grades in term 1 (Mostly C & D). He was in advanced math in Year 8 but due to poor grades downgraded to general math in second term. But we made a plan to work on his math and his classmates were there to assist him and in year 9 he got 4 A grades and only 2 B grades. Now my son is year 10 and promoted to Advanced Math.
  Parent teacher meeting is very impressive- teachers knows strengths and weaknesses of students and suggests strategies to improve. Long story short- School is good, it ultimately depends on student and friends that he/she makes at school.
  
  There are some misconducts (such as as vaping) by other students and it recently started when year 7 students part of high school.
  
  Overall, Marryatville is good high school. As per NAPLAN results this is second most top school in Adelaide. I strongly recommend.

  This school is terrific! The teachers in this school have always been supportive and encouraging. Sure some teachers may have a few bad days but they are really passionate in what they do. I would 200% recommend this school to all parents looking for a good school to place their kids into.

  The lads here sweat at tennis. There is (to my knowledge at least) a lot of good lads here.

  We as Grandparents have just attended a very welcoming morning at your school.
  My 3 children attended here in the 1980’s
  and at that time I happily covered new books in the old library for about 8 years - each Tuesday another parent and I would work together for approximately 4-5 hours. So many wonderful books.
  Now I have 2 Grandchildren attending.
  Many students greeted us with “ Thank you for visiting our school”
  Our youngest Grandson has started high school here this year.
  AND we LOVE all the trees !!
